Anxiety and Stress Counseling for Adults in Georgia

Do anxious thoughts play on a loudspeaker day and night?

Is it hard to breath, relax, sit still, or get a good night sleep?

Has the anxiety become so bad your work and relationships are impacted, or physical illness is now part of life?

Anxiety and stress are not emotions any of us want as our constant state. It starts to impact our bodies, relationships, sleep, work, and eventually our overall enjoyment of life. If our anxiety and stress go on long enough it can create physiologic symptoms, making it hard to breath, tightening in the chest, a racing heart, maybe it escalated to the point of going to the ER worried you are having a heart attack, only to find out it was a panic attack and stress. Perhaps it is digestive issues showing you that the stress has become too much. The body and brain are not separate, they both experience this anxiety, and it is important to care for both, to be able to stop the conditioned pattern that are impacting your mind and body.

Let’s stop this in its tracks

How can Anxiety and Stress Therapy help?

  • Explore the root cause or causes of the stress and anxiety and learn how to handle them in a healthy and compassionate way.

  • Understand and change how we talk to ourselves; Our internal dialogue can help or make our anxiety worse.

  • Look at our belief systems and how they might be contributing to our anxiety.

  • Learn tangible skills that help change our thought patterns, belief systems and toxic environments. We will work to find what will work best for you to change the root cause, not just a temporary band-aid.

  • Experience and practice techniques, such as breathwork, mindfulness, meditations, movement therapy (yoga/Qi gong) to use at home.

  • Learn to calm the nervous system that is stuck in a survival state.
